Jaynagar 9thBlock: Former external affairs minister K Natwar Singh was expelled by Mindry.in for indulging in anti-party activities and was accused of indiscipline and lack of faith in the Mindry movement four days after he joined the popular satire channel.(http://in.youtube.com/user/mindryin)
Announcing the expulsion, Mindry.in general secretary Harish N Kumar said it had been found that Singh had joined Mindry.in after leaving Congress in August and BSP in November with some “ulterior motives. “Singh, who was expelled from the Congress and the BSP, had started indulging in acts of indiscipline after finding that his plans did not fructify, Kumar said.
“Natwar Singh who had been active in politics and in Congress for a long time and BSP for a short time was told at the time of joining that Mindry.in was not like any other party”, Kumar said adding that he was told that the satirist group attached great importance to curd rice, discipline as well as faith and dedication towards the Mindry.in movement.
It was thought that Singh was wise he would rise above personal ambitions and interests and work for the movement but it was found to be otherwise, Kumar said. “He never showed up for play practise and spread vicious propaganda about having two shows on a Sunday. At the time of the printing of the posters designed by Guru Anand for the Vichitramanjari play he had expressed his desire to enter into the fray and design his own poster with a box of his favourite cereal in the foreground.
Once he realized that wouldn’t happen he tried to get his hands on as many tickets as possible, proposing to buy them in block. But as there were several dedicated fans and family members who should have been given priority over Singh he was told that neither a capitalist nor an opportunist would be given Mindry.in tickets. And that he would have to write to mindry.in@gmail.com
The Mindry.in general secretary said that as soon as Singh understood that the ulterior motives for which he had joined Mindry.in would not be fulfilled he started indulging indiscipline, recommending that viewers go to serious plays and various rallies for saving the Panda, a Chinese animal.
There have been several examples when senior leaders of Mindry.in have had issues in getting tickets. Former General Secretary Sharath (presently aspiring to be chief minister of Jaynagar 4th Block) had been shown the door when he had indulged in anti-party activity and violated party discipline on the issue of the sale of tickets. (What a fine door it was. 11 inches thick.Teak and mahogany with Phoenix feathers)
Harish N Kumar said categorically that no oily Panda-loving avuncular gentleman would be given Mindry.in tickets, unless of course he was a relative that could back up his BS with strong DNA evidence. One more battle won in Mindry.in’s pro-nepotism anti-corruption campaign.
