Prime Minister Dr. Singh ended his election campaign by finally admitting that he was indeed a weak PM and weakness was his strength. Continuing with the trend set by Rahul Gandhi of praising political opponents in the midst of elections, Dr. Singh went a step further and said Advani is best suited to lead the country. In a slogan coined impromptu, Dr. Singh declared, ‘Congress ka haat Advani ke saat’.
82 year old Advani went into tears hearing Dr. Singh’s words. ‘Like Jinnah, Dr. Singh is also secular’, Advani said with a lump in his throat. Not to be outdone, the communist party leaders have started also praising but it was unclear as to who they were praising. ‘I use this occasion to be lavish in my praise of the non-Congress, non-BJP secular leader’, said CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat.
