In a bid to make youth icon Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister in 2014, youth icon Rahul Gandhi is reportedly ready with the manifesto for 2014 general elections. ‘I have been working on this manifesto from 1999. I finished yesterday. I want to get it to public as soon as possible’, said youth icon Rahul Gandhi flanked by another youth icon Veerappa Moily on either side.
Rahul Gandhi has also finalised Congress’s allies for the next elections. Some are existing political parties and some are parties which Rahul envisions to be formed over the next 3-5 years. ‘We will have new parties formed. Like ‘Regionalist Congress Party’, ‘National Unconference’, ‘Praja Desham’, Janata Dal (Pseudo Communal) and others. I have kept these to be formed parties also in mind while I have drawn up alliances”, elaborated Rahul on his vision 2014.
Not to be outdone by Rahul’s foresight, BJP, which started candidate selection for 2009 elections a year back ,has decided to announce all the 543 candidates for the next elections on next Monday. ‘This candidate selection is a laborious process. So we decided to do this for the next election also while we were doing it for this election’, said emerging BJP strategist Navin Kohli.
