With voting over in all five phases, political parties are looking forward to counting day with renewed optimism of forming the opposition. Rahul’s Congress is confident of sitting in opposition. ‘I think we are very sure that we will have the numbers to form the next opposition. It will also give us time to rebuild the party. Rebuilding takes time. It’s like Aamir Khan’s movies. It might take 15-20 years. And sometimes, again like Mr. Khan’s movies, it might not happen at all’, said Rahul comparing himself to his admirer Aamir Khan.

The BJP on the other hand is confident that the voters of India will repose faith in it and would vote decisively for L K Advani as leader of oppostion. ‘Ádvaniji is our tallest leader. Infact we have started a type of Bonsai program which will ensure that he remains our tallest leader forever. And he is a strong leader. A tall and strong leader would make for a very good opposition leader’, said Mr. Kulkarni, a key strategist working in ‘L K Advani for Leader Of Opposition’ team.

The third front led ably by left has emphatically declared that it will definitely be a non-BJP non-Congress opposition with a completely secular hue. ‘I think we opposed really well this time. We not only did bark we did bite too. Remember what happened to Manmohan Singh’s Govt on nuclear deal issue. We are an effective opposition’, said Sitaram Yechury of the Left.  Similar sentiments were echoed of their respective fronts by the remaining fronts.
