People who had nothing to do with the CBSE Board examinations promptly sprung to the defense of said board saying the board could easily use the English essay to offset imbalance, whenever the English exam was held next.
“’Write a 98 word essay on SinX’ is a great essay to have to offset this balance,” noted 8th standard student/stock analyst Thabish.
Of course, this is now “a big f#$@ing deal” to quote Joe Biden out of context since it bolsters the case for promoting creativity in addition pushed by liberal organizations such as the Student Against Maths Unless its Easy League (SAMUEL). “Samuel’s motto is All Numbers are Equal and our core philosophy is Never Divide. Ten years down the line when we’re ready to take the XII std test we want the entire question paper to have open ended questions like these where the students can express their inner feelings about maths.”
“Samuel’s penchant for speaking of himself not only in the third person, but also in the plural and implying that he’s an NGO of some sort is just plain disturbing behaviour for a six year old, and Thabish is an idiot. Maths keeps this country’s delusions strong. Without it we wouldn’t even have the but-a-lot-of-us-are-geeky-and-nerdy when we win the next sole gold medal in the Olympics. There was a time when we used to tell kids that without maths they’d die! And we’d try to at least beat them enough so they’d believe we’d kill ‘em at least. Teachers aren’t really allowed to do that anymore, though some brave ones carry on the fight. Now we have talk of scrapping exams and these morons get the few exams we’re still allowed to have wrong,” thundered former bank manager AVX Shenoy from outside the ATM machine, upset that the machine was giving wads of flowers in protest at Mayawati’s garland of money.
Some 16 year-old who woke up at 5:00 in the morning to pay his school teacher a second time for “tuitions” then went to school at 8:00 in the morning to account for paying his school teacher the first time for “teaching” and then went home at 4 to get brain washed for 8 hours thinking that a few extra equations would change his or her life. That young child’s heart is broken and no rigid numerical requirements in the poetry test is going to change that.
