A young couple bullied into therapy to better understand their feelings and develop a more mature understanding of each other realized mid- way that they were both selfish and shallow.

Anil(not pictured) was thrilled when his wife admitted that she was only interested in his money, while he confessed to the fact that he would absolutely leave her if she grew fat. “If she becomes a fat cow and my business fails, then we may stay with each other for food and shelter, get some societal acceptance for being a married couple and still bide time to snag someone better,”
a beaming Anil said.
Rekha chimed in saying “Of course, his own greed will fuel his urge to get money and I just love the way I look even more than I love his money, so I’ll never get fat. But this mutually assured destruction will keep us both rich and pretty. I don’t want to use any loaded words, but I think we can certainly find things in common that will keep us toegther for a long, long time.”
Dr Tripathi their therapist is undergoing counselling for severe depression and has applied for next year’s CAT exam in an attempt to “get a real job” in his therapist’s words(AVX Shenoy).
It is believed that Dr Tripathi was trying to show only Anil he was shallow, while, at the same, time trying to convince Rekha that she was mean. But he got his patients mixed up the next month and they both came to the conclusion that they were just like each other and could in fact define their relationship successfully without any further help from him.
The couple is now working on being condescending at the same time to each other simultaneously and looking for a joint prejudice that they can both adopt. “We’re looking at ageism or Anti-environmentalism for now. Then we’ll buy something and be happy.” When asked about their opinion of true spiritual love and intimacy they had this to say together-while being-happy “I bet this is what poor old fat people say when they’re hugging trees and standing in the way of progress.”
