After successfully ripping off research in the US, bio-chemists in the Paikin School of Pottery are now the proud claimants to second place for creating artifical life. While the news of being closer to the powers of God was greeted with charges of blasphemy in the United States, the reaction of the Chinese people and public has been just as hostile but for a rather different reason.

This artificial life-form may be the only bacterium that this scientist could ever create thanks to the PRCS draconian one-artifical life form rule
The politburo seems to be extremely concerned about the resources needed to feed these artificial life-forms. “The leadership is already extremely conscious of China’s 1.3 billion humans and 50 trillion micro-organisms. More micro-organisms are simply not part of the plan. So, it looks like Chinese scientists in China have successfully antagonized their government into introducing an additional bizarre, yet, enforceable rule. The Chinese government has decided to restrict its scientists to a One-Artificial Life-form per Scientist Rule,” said Thabish noted 8th standard student and observer of primetime shows.
Human-Animal chimera rights groups have condemned the communist government’s heavy handed approach to the creation of new life. Damnesty International’s latest press release states ”Every geneticist has the right to create however many artifical bacteria they want to. It’s a basic fundamental right.”
A Chinese government spokeswoman dismissed criticism from rights groups and asserted that scientists that created artificial female bacteria will have the option to create a second male artificial lifeform. The rules would also be relaxed to two bacteria for cell geneticists in rural China the official said. The scientists themselves have pointed out that this is going to make continued research rather impossible. One senior researcher on the cusp of re-discovery said, “If I create one little protozoan and it doesn’t go to college or become the miracle cure to cancer I can never try again. I’ll have to just put that on my resume and go work in some cheery factory that makes iPads and suicides.”
