Alleged security personnel in mufti looking out for the poor electric car during the strike against the price of oil
The general strike or bandh called by various Indian opposition parties against the rise in the price of oil, were mostly peaceful in the metros of Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi despite apprehensions that there would be violence against miniorities. There were allegedly large contingents of police out near the residences of those who owned electric cars due to the pressure exerted by eminent citizens like AVX Shenoy. “AVX sir, insisted we put extra cordon around minority homes. These people have tiny little cars that go so slow, they could not have outrun the guys with the big sticks and cans of petrol if, we, the government hadn’t done what we get paid for day in and day out and prevented mob violence. They totally got their tax’s worth today, the treehugging freaks,” said one alleged security spokesman under condition of anonymity to Mindry.in.
Of course, it’s unreasonable to suppose that owners of an electric car such as the Reva or even a hybrid car have anything to fear from a pseudo communist action, but experts point out that it is no more irrational than the thriving of these misguided anachronistic communists or their bizarre expectation that a billion people will believe that a protest can alter the Earth’s oil reserves. “I support the bandh but that was to stop people from working and get some attention, I do not support attacks against those driving environmentally friendly cars. We’re all just trying to get from A to B and they shouldn’t be victimized,” said AVX Shenoy when mindry.in asked him to comment on the matter.
