It looks like the economic package offered by the Indian leadership to Kashmir in general and its separatists in particular has paid off. Reports from the Valley suggest that the hard-line separatist leader and serial agenda-setter Saeed Ali Shah Geelani has cleared the first technical round of interviews for a job with a software company based in Bangalore.

“Geelani Sir has to just clear the HR round now to get a job paying Rs 4,00,000. Once he works hard for a few years he can start paying the stone-pelters with his own money instead of the ISI’s,” said one highly placed source. The HR round is usually a mere formality with questions ranging from “What are your hobbies?” to “Have you instigated large mobs to commit sedition and perpetrate acts of violence based on narrow pseudo-religious ideologies?”
Meanwhile, it is believed that Mehbooba Mufti Saeed and Omar Abdullah may have already been given offer letters by call-centers as executives for a domestic voice process in Srinagar. It is reported that Omar Abdullah is hesitant to do the job as he’s unable work on weekends and several weekdays due to being in and in transit to and from Delhi.
Mehbooba Mufti Saeed (who was hired because it was deemed possible for her to be heard by the customers even without a phone) it is believed will take up the offer only if the growth ladder is made clear and, of course, if she can get Omar’s pay packet.
Reports indicate that the rest of the innocent mob may also be bought off, surely India Inc has more money than Pakistan. “Yes, India is rich now. Why, just the other day we had $20 million to spare.
