In a bid to enthuse athletes from different nations to participate in the games, the Government is planning to provide them health insurance, life insurance and even write-off loans in their name.

Speaking on condition of annonymity to Mindry.in’s citizen journalist Hrishikesh, a high-ranking minister, who heads an empowered group of ministers appointed by the Prime Minister to ensure people turn up at the Games, promised that this was going to be the first games where sportspersons would get much more than just a medal. “We are hearing that many participants from different nations are fearing getting dengue or getting killed in a bridge collapse or getting mowed by a falling roof. If they indeed manage, against all odds, to escape all this and depart from India on October 14th with or without a medal then it’s fine. But what if something happens. What answer can we give to their parents? So we have decided to give them free health insurance, free life insurance and waive-off their loans(even if they have not taken) if they just turn up for the events. So even if you take the high risk option of coming here, you will get great returns”. When asked what’s the guarantee that these promises will be kept by the Government, the Minister gave a contemptive look and labelled Hrishikesh unpatriotic.
In related news, the Government has decided to officially label as ‘unpatriotic’ anybody who mocks/criticises/paints-the-country-negative-by-trying-to-hold-people-accountable-for-the-mess. Team Mindry.in has now completely disowned citizen journalist Hrishikesh for asking the minister unpatriotic questions.
