Unconfirmed reports from certain unnamed sources allege that certain Congress workers mistakenly celebrated Rahul Gandhi’s birthday on Gandhi Jayanti yesterday. One Congress worker was reportedly elated that their young leader was described as Mahatma by some of the newspapers. “Today when I woke up to see the newspapers telling me that it is Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday today, I was thrilled. Finally people are realizing Rahulji is indeed a Mahatma”. Our sources further tell us that there was more confusion at a function organized by the Congress workers when one of them on the podium started addressing the gathering with a written speech that was intended for the birth anniversary of the father of the nation. “We should all be grateful to Gandhiji for teaching us the methods of Satyagraha and non-violence as a means of accomplishing our goals”, said the leader reading from the written text.
The opposition, reacting to this, has expectedly asked everyone in the Government to resign over this matter. But Congress sources tell us that these reports are baseless and a ”conspiracy by the communal forces” . “We will constitute a high level empowered group of Ministers who will investigate who are all behind this conspiracy and will file a CBI case against them”, told a senior member in the Government.
Mindry.in’s viewer Ananth, though, has a different take on it. He is happy that no one celebrated Pooja Gandhi’s birthday on Gandhi Jayanti in Bangalore. “Given the tremendous importance we give to mediocrity, I was expecting Pooja Gandhi’s birthday to be observed on October 2nd. But luckily that didn’t happen”, he was reported to have told.
