Is IDEA’s New Tagline “Don’t Think Just Talk” Inspired by the 2G Phone Tapping Scandal?

"Don't Think, just talk"... The exact opposite of what we need

What is up with the stupid new billboard slogan? In IDEA’s defence, it may have been inspired by Nike’s iconic ’90s line of “Just Do It” but that’s really not the same thing as “Don’t Think Just Talk”. So, just to be clear I’m not accusing them of being original.

Yes, Junior Bachchan is probably at home tending to his wife, who is expecting her first child (and the perfunctory good luck to them) but surely IDEA could get someone else to say “what an idea, sirji?” ? Their new punchline “Don’t Think, Just talk”, is quite possibly repurposed from the mantra of some spokesman of the Congress or the BJP.

The only people who’d possibly benefit from this tagline are those shady characters who’re tapping a bunch of phones without any declared warrants. I wonder if IDEA hired the same moronic ad agency that came with the letter “D” as Airtel’s new logo a few months ago.
