The temple authorities cooperated fully and we found this ancient Indian inscription with the subscripts slightly obscured in the basement, along with a sign that said “BDA* Property”.
The ancient writing roughly translates to:
Dear Jayanagar Temple, yes, yes, I know you like me, but I don’t see why you couldn’t have squatted on enough BDA land for parking, sim-simply I’m being blamed for traffic jam- God
The letter from God is believed to be a forgery enacted by someone with a chisel and access to Google Transliterate. Just like the $25 billion in a basement is likely to be an exaggeration. But there is expected to be a kernel of truth. The sign that reads “BDA property” is expected to be authentic.
Digging under another temple which was taken over by a government “circle” in the middle of the road we found an optic fibre cable and a burst water pipe, which may or may not have been caused by our digging. But the water pipe is certainly worth something.
Meanwhile, atheists within our group are scrambling to find an answer to those atheists who’re now questioning their faith…or rather their lack of faith. The Atheist Men’s Group or AMEN has started printing pamphlets to the “unfaithful” about how there’s plenty of money and jewels to be found in the basement of Swiss Banks and Indian Banks and the Reserve Banks.
*BDA is the ancient Hindu name for the Bangalore Development Authority, now known as the BBMP.(Think Imladris V Rivendell) in short, government land, collectively owned by tax paying citizens. It is also allegedly mentioned in the Rig Veda, where the great kings of the line of Raghu would often crack down on those grabbing BDA land for their private money laundering practises. There’s no way to be sure, since no one who has an opinion on the matter, one way or the other, has read the entire Rig Veda.
