Candle Makers Refuse to Sell Candles For A Week: Want to See the Govt Act on Mumbai Blasts

India's weapon of choice against blatant acts of murder have been the mighty candle

Candle sellers (chandlers) would do India a great service by refusing to sell any of them in the next few days. Let not the wax wane our national anger. For too long now we’ve let the Americans lull us into doing nothing about our enemies… while they killed their enemies. We’ve been asked to wait in a queue because the terrorists who kill Americans need to be killed first and foremost, and the terrorists who kill Indians can be negotiated with.

We’ve let the FBI do our homework for us, let the CBI devolve into a political tool. The FBI has made us beg for the right to look the killers of our friends in the eye. And yet when we do find our enemy we take forever to have them hang. For too long we’ve let our judiciary and home offices feed death row prisoners three square meals in our prisons.

We’ve let the media call it the 26/11 attacks when it was actually the 26th to 29th 11 attacks. It took three days to stop 10 guys.  And not one strike against Pakistan after that. Our security is not good enough, our judiciary is not fast enough.

For too long we’ve let Digvijay Singh and his ilk confuse the debate. And for too long we’ve let Rahul Gandhi squat on the future of this country claiming a 99% success rate on terror. And for too long our alternative to Gandhi has been a party that has had its foreign minister take terrorists home in a chartered plane.

The fact of the matter is, that whether it’s terrorists from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka or the Seychelles there’s been no countestrike. Only candles.

The only thing worse than disgruntled poor people is disgruntled rich and poor  people. We’re tired of paying our taxes, getting scared and having to buy candles for some limp-dick feel good protest.

Right now it looks like the only person who’s learnt anything from the 26/11 attacks is Barkha Dutt. Not the Congress or the BJP. Barkha wasn’t on the scene this time streaming live information on the security forces’ movements.

But why didn’t the security forces do anything? Why weren’t there cameras in this rat warren in Mumbai that had already been bombed before? Where are the helicopters and the robots? Enough of this spirit of Mumbai crap.

There are over 20 spirits in Mumbai calling for justice joining the larger chorus of thousands of Indian citizens as we let the enemy laugh at us. We drew a line in the sand and the enemy has crossed it.
