Indian government spokesmen reassured the country that they were clueless about proposals regarding long term security proposals of global importance. Reacting to Australian foreign minister Kevin Rudd’s statement about a possible trilateral alliance between India, America and Australia Indian spokesmen pleaded ignorance and shock.
“No, we’re good with weak treaties with vague wordings on a bilateral level. Seems presumptuous to think we face a common threat in China. The Chinese haven’t made any threatening moves since Wednesday. And they did a pinky swear that they won’t give Pakistan more nuclear weapons and that they won’t ever put more than ten thousand troops in Kashmir.
And worst case scenario, if the Chinese do invade we will ask for help from the people we just turned away in order to remain neutral. Between you and me, we are not really neutral. We just want to stay on the fence so we can manipulate the situation to our advantage. Yes, yes Nehru tried the same thing and a lot me brave ill-equipped soldiers died for it. But rest assured that the same thing won’t happen this time if we behave the same way as last time. I hope you are resting and are assured,” concluded the senior spokesman.
