About Us
“Mindry.in” was formed in April 2008 as a comedy group which would deliver quality humour content in English and Kannada. With decidedly humble beginnings in locale, production values and technology, the three founding members, Harish, Arjun and Sharath, created short comedy sketches. Soon joined by newer members, the group began creating longer sketches and parodies and putting them up on the group channel on Youtube.
Word spread, primarily through word of mouth, about us and the attraction of eyeballs to our channel followed. Notching up 300000 views in 22 months, our videos have won appreciation from anonymous online viewer and acclaimed theatre artiste alike. From parody to theatre-of-the-absurd, satire to slapstick, we have tried our hand at various sorts of comedy, with mostly positive results. Emboldened by the strength of our online viewership, we staged our first play, “Vichitramanjari,” in November 2008 at the Nani Arena in Bangalore. The play received a warm response from packed crowds in both the shows staged, with theatre artistes like Mrs. Bhargavi Narayan applauding our efforts to do something different with comedy in Kannada.
“Narasimha yuddham — ondu premada kathe” — our second feature presentation, although ostensibly a take on prevalent political scenarios, also ensconced within itself a gentle love story. The battleground that is politics, the games people play in the media in order to attract audiences, the empty promises of politicians, all these featured in our play. It was attended and acclaimed by the huge number of people who watched it as an accomplished satire.
With these “significant” events behind us, we at Mindry.in decided to commemorate our first anniversary. This grand occasion was celebrated with pomp and coffee at the Seva Sadana auditorium in Malleshwaram on the 2nd of May, 2009 at 5 PM in the evening. Significant personalities wer largely ignored, unknown people were felicitated, speeches were made about nothing. All in all, a grand event.

Harish Kumar, Sharath Kowligi, Arjun Sharma and Swaroop Ramachandra are the core content creators and have between them several years of experience in theatre, including performances in the NCPA in Mumbai, and internet content creation & web design credentials.
Jayanth Bhoopalam, Sujith Agashe and Anand CJ have several years of marketing and editing experience crucial to creating professional quality of content.
All India Radio’s FM Rainbow inviting us for a talk show in January 2009 was a proud moment for us. Hundreds of thousands of people heard our work over a mass medium. We’ve also recently started creating audio spots on various subjects, mixing the current with the tangential. Examples include a young student reminding his father to work harder for that promotion during the boy’s SSLC exams and a potential terrorist being interviewed for a job by his prospective boss.
Mindry.in has created 3 pilots that are in various stages of approval with a fourth being placed in turnaround. This pilot called “JaagaVilla” received great praise from noted television writers like Krishna Prasad and Raghu Samarth. We have shot channel commissioned pilots for regional TV channels and expect these to air by August 2010.
